Person Responsible for the Protection of Personal Information – Law 25

In accordance with Law 25, which came into force on September 22, 2022, we have appointed Filippo Gattola as the person responsible for the protection of personal information.

His responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing privacy incidents involving personal information;

  • Taking reasonable measures to reduce the risk of harm and prevent similar incidents;

  • Notifying the Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI) and affected individuals when an incident presents a serious risk of harm;

  • Maintaining a register of privacy incidents and providing a copy to the CAI upon request;

  • Ensuring compliance with the legal framework governing the disclosure of personal information without consent for research, study, or statistical purposes, and in the context of commercial transactions;

  • Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) prior to any disclosure of personal information without consent;

  • Prior disclosure to the CAI of any identity verification or confirmation involving biometric characteristics or measurements.
